Datuk Seri Kamaludin Md Said graduated with an LLB Hons from the University of Malaya in 1983 and retired as a Court of Appeal judge on 22 June 2024. With a distinguished career in the legal and judicial service, he was a member of the Judicial and Legal Service Commission from 2016 to 2018 and the Royal Commission of Inquiry in 2018.
Before joining the Bench, he served as Head of the Appellate and Trial Division in the Attorney General’s Chambers from 2008 to 2012 and held key positions, including Deputy Head of the Civil Division from 2005 to 2007 and Deputy Public Prosecutor specializing in Classified and Public Interest cases from 2001 to 2003.
His experience also includes roles as Legal Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports from 2000 to 2001 and the Ministry of Home Affairs from 1994 to 2000, as well as Senior Federal Counsel in the Civil Division from 1988 to 1994.
He began his legal career as a Magistrate in Batu Gajah, Perak from 1987 to 1988, after practicing as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya from 1986 to 1987 and serving as an Administrative Officer in Bank Negara Malaysia from 1983 to 1986.
