Amira Najwafitri graduated from University of Leeds, United Kingdom in 2012. She was the recipient of both the International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarship and International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship from the university. She was involved in pro bono work in London after her graduation in 2012 until 2013. She commenced her legal career as a paralegal in the intellectual property department at Messrs. Shearn Delamore & Co in 2014. Thereafter, she enrolled at Brickfields Asia College in 2015 and obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in 2017. She then commenced her pupillage at Messrs. Kevin & Co under the tutelage of her master, Dato’ Kevin Joshua in 2018, where she was exposed to both civil and criminal litigation. She was then called to the Malaysian Bar in 2019. She previously dabbled in corporate law and general civil litigation before joining Messrs. Chambers of Firdaus in 2021, where she specialised in construction litigation, adjudication and arbitration matters. Amira has extensive experience conducting trials in the lower courts, and hearings in the High Court and Court of Appeal in relation to construction law matters.
